Piotr Kolotylo

Piotr Kolotylo, 91, of Norwalk, CT passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025 at his home after a short battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family.
Piotr was born on May 25, 1934 in Wolowiec, Poland, where he grew up with eight of his siblings - five brothers and three sisters. He immigrated from Poland to America with his wife and three sons in 1983 and briefly settled in Union, NJ, where his brother and sister lived. Shortly after, the family moved to Stamford, CT, where he was employed at Pitney Bowes as an assembler of mailing machines for fifteen years until his retirement. He was very popular at work, he will be remembered by his friends and colleagues for his sincerity, affection and willingness to help.
From an early age he had a passion for poetry and good attire, he loved his suits and ties. He was a great social entertainer, he would dress up to perfection for gatherings where he enjoyed reciting poems, receiving compliments from all around. He was very proud of his three grandsons and enjoyed spending time with the family. In his retirement he enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles and memorizing new poems.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marianna, his sons, Konrad, Jerry and Damian, his grandsons, Matthew, Mark and Sebastian, his daughters-in-law, Margaret and Iwona, his sister, Julia and her husband Janusz in Poland and many nephews, nieces and friends.
A celebration of Piotr's life will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 10am to 1pm. for family and close friends at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation, 453 Shippan, Avenue, Stamford, CT, Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place, Stamford, CT.
