Mrs. Polly Ann (Glover) Magness of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born August 6, 1944, daughter of George Washington and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Bayless) Glover.

Throughout the years, Mrs. Magness worked in retail. Later in life she dedicated herself to being a caretaker for those she loved. Mrs. Magness was of the Baptist belief.

Mrs. Magness had a true passion for shopping, whether it was a quick trip or full day of browsing, she shopped for anything and everything. She especially loved when the Goodwill Store and Donation Center opened in town. Mrs. Magness also enjoyed decorating her home and tending to her flowerbeds.

Mrs. Magness is preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Magness; a brother, John Franklin Glover; two sisters, Minia Neal and Joella Goodman; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Benny Magness, of Newport; two daughters, Beverly London and husband, Daron, and Kathy Massey and husband, Darryl, all of Newport; her grandson, who was the light of her life, Dallas Luce and wife, Natalee, of Newport; one great-grandson, Drake Luce; and special friend, Lonnie, Carter, of Newport. Also surviving Mrs. Magness is her brother, Martin Glover, of Newport; sister-in-law, Jane Rouse and husband, Carl, of Tupelo; a host of nieces and nephews; and her special caregivers, Kim Fears, Ludie Tidwell, Gidget Caswell, and Paula Donaldson.

Visitation will be held at Jackson's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 8, 2025, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Mr. Ryan Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Sandhill Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Benny Magness, Dallas Luce, Dwayne Runyon, Dewayne Glover, Chad Harris, and Mike Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Foster, Jimmie Darling, Herman Goodman, Danny Duty, Marcus Magness, Lyn Webb, Johnny Glover, and William Smart.

The family of Mrs. Polly Ann Magness would like to extend a special thank you to The Blossoms of Newport for their care and compassion.
