Preston A. Johnson, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at his residence. He was born April 23rd, 1990, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Suzie (Phillips) Johnson and the late Samuel Johnson.
Preston was a 2009 graduate of Jackson High School. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, and Jackson Ironmen fan. Preston was a member of Elevate Ministries.
He is survived by his daughter, Arabella Gilliland; his son, Quincy Johnson; his mother, Suzie Johnson; sister, Yolanda (Colin) Ross; nephew, Caleb Ross; niece, Jadyn Ross; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joey and Phyllis Phillips and Ernest and Julia Johnson.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, from 5PM-7PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7PM with Pastor Russ Strange officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home to help with expenses.
