Preston L. Vanoy

Preston L. Vanoy, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a faithful servant of God. For 61 years, he was the cherished husband of Doris H. Vanoy, with whom he built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. He took great pride in providing for and guiding his family, always leading with kindness, patience, and quiet strength. Preston also proudly served his country in the US Air Force from October 1959-October 1965.
A dedicated member of Evergreen Baptist Church, Preston also served faithfully as a deacon for many years. His unwavering faith, humble leadership, and willingness to serve others left a lasting impact on his church family. He lived his life as a reflection of his beliefs, offering encouragement, wisdom, and a helping hand to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris H. Vanoy; his children, Donna Jones (Kevin), Cindy Vanoy, Tim Vanoy (Jerica); his grandchildren, Mason Cork, Emily Jones, Rivers Vanoy, Ridge Vanoy ; his great grandchildren, Brynleigh Mae Cork and Bayleigh Jo Cork, and extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Daisy Vanoy.
Graveside service will be held on January 16, 2026 at Tuscaloosa Memorial with Brother Jack Clary and Jason Jones presiding.
