Mrs. Princess E. Strickland Mitchell was born August 30, 1938, to the late Freeman Strickland and Georgia Ann Todd Strickland in Camden, Arkansas. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church until her health failed.

Princess was a 1956 graduate of Lincoln High School where she excelled as a student. She worked as the former Parks and Rec Director for the City of Camden. Princess married Charles E. Mitchell, Sr., on June 27, 2014.

She passed peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, Arkansas. She was preceded in death her husband, Charles E. Mitchell, Sr.; four brothers, John B. Willie D. Jim and P.W.; two sisters, Eula Mae and Onie Mae.

Princess leave to cherish her memory; Dyron Lindsey and her sister, Nadell Strickland Turner of Hot Springs, AR. She also leaves an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 1, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rodney Frazier, eulogist. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
