Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Funeral Home - NewburyportPriscilla Lane Brown (née Howe), age 91, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Born on January 8, 1935, in Medford, Massachusetts, she lived a long and vibrant life filled with creativity, devotion to family, and enduring love. Priscilla was the beloved daughter of Robert and Margaret Howe. She was preceded in death by her cherished sisters Pauline Nunes Coats and Jane Ronan, and her brothers Robert Howe and Richard Howe.
Throughout her life, Priscilla was a loving mother and wife. She shared 38 years of marriage with her first husband, Frank Lane Sr., creating quite a legacy raising their four children and spending countless hours at the family camp they built on Kezar Lake. She later married family friend Ernest Brown, with whom she enjoyed an additional 24 years of companionship, adventure and travel.
Priscilla is lovingly remembered by her children: Frank Lane Jr. and his wife Patricia Lane; Jeffrey Lane and his wife Jevine; Kenneth Lane; and Cynthia Keefe and her partner Kevin Kelley. Priscilla’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews who brought immense joy to her life.
A gifted artist at heart, Priscilla found joy in expressing herself through watercolor painting-her favorite medium. She will be fondly missed by members of the Peaks Island artist group, where she shared not only her talent but also meaningful friendships.
Her artistic talents extended beyond the canvas; she was also widely known for her exquisite cake decorating skills. Whether crafting elaborate wedding cakes or whimsical birthday creations, she brought beauty and care to every piece she made professionally and for those closest to her.
Priscilla centered her life around family, and her life was a testament to love, creativity, and resilience. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.
