Priscilla Ann Jacomine Cosse’, 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. She is the beloved wife of 58 years to Gilbert L. Cosse’, the devoted mother to Micheline “Mickey” Cosse’ Buras and Laurie Cosse’ Banko. She is the most adored Meme to her “Three Baby Angels,” Morgan L. Buras, Ian M. Buras, and Courtney G. Banko. She loved her two sons-in-law as her own children, Glenn “Smokey” Buras and Phillip E. Banko, Jr. Predeceased by her parents, Evelyn Eschette Jacomine and Raymond J. Jacomine, Sr., and her in-laws, Evelyn Rousselle Cosse’ and George J. Cosse’, Sr. Survived by her siblings, Mary Jo Jacomine Hebert, Raye Anne Jacomine Muse, and Raymond J. Jacomine, Jr. Also survived by her Godchildren, her brothers-in-law, and a host
of nieces and nephews. Other immediate family members predeceased her whom she missed daily. She was a devout Catholic and loved her many prayer books and her collection of
crosses and rosaries. She loved to fish and trawl with her Dad in her younger years. She loved trips to the casinos, but was most fond of spending time with her family, their vacations, and her pilgrimage to Lourdes to see the Grotto of Massabielle where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared. She is a life-long resident of Plaquemines Parish and since Hurricane Katrina a resident of St. Tammany Parish. The family would like to thank the staff at Forest Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the care given to Priscilla.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, Covington, Louisiana. Catholic Funeral Mass to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Children’s Hospital, 200 Henry Clay Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. www.stjude.com.
