Priscilla Gail Engel
February 12, 1939 - September 1, 2025
On September 1st, 2025, our Mother, Grandmother, Great
Grandmother, Sister, cherished Friend - Priscilla Gail Engel - went
to be with her Heavenly Father after a period of declining health.
She was predeceased by her husband & best friend of 44 years,
David Engel along with her first-born infant, Kevin Matthew,
daughters Susie Klockars and Heidi Engel, and her brother Paul
Stevens and his wife, Roberta.
Priscilla grew up in Epping surrounded by family, including her
sister and two brothers, her parents and grandparents. The small
town fostered many friendships and bonds that she carried into
her adult life. After graduating from Watson Academy, she began
raising her family and eventually met and married David Engel
and blended their two families of 10 children.
Priscilla and David spent many years building their lives in their
beloved Ayres Homestead in Greenland, creating memories with
their children with the love and help of their beloved Martha.
Together they carefully curated each room with antiques and
collectibles, hosted guests in their in-house B&B, shared many
historic tales, while carving out time to tend to her flower gardens.
Having 10 kids [and their friends] around the house prepared her
for the day when her grown children, their spouses and their
children would all gather again in Greenland for many old-
fashioned Christmases.
For many years, Priscilla worked alongside David at his law firm,
Engel & Associates, in Exeter with companion shihtzu, Angel, who
had an honorary greeting role at the office.
A typical Sunday included attending her beloved Greenland
Community Church, then off in the Pierce Arrow to enjoy the
beauty of the seacoast, visiting with friends and family along the
way. They loved musicals, the theatre, and dancing together,
immersing themselves in their community.
Priscilla leaves behind eight grown children: Karen Kearns and her
husband Kevin; Peter LaRoche and his wife Tina; Kathleen Engel
and her husband Jim; Terri Spinney; Eric LaRoche and his wife
Donna; Julie Booth and her husband John; Peter Engel; Rebekah
Elmore and her husband Todd; including:
22 grandchildren: Alyson, Andrew, Anne Marie (Bob), Austin, Avery,
Bobby (Heather), Caelan, Cheri, Danielle (Mike), Dillon (Catherine),
Drew, Eden (Lake), Hannah (Taylor), Kris, Laura (Chris), Marty
(Nicole), Molly, Samantha (Jeremy), Tiffany (Tim), Timothy
(Brittany), Tucker, and Zac (Teresa); and 25 ½ great-grandchildren:

We are grateful to Rockingham Assisted Living and Nursing Center
for their excellent, compassionate care during the time Priscilla
resided there
.
And another special thanks to Jessica Clay and her hospice team
during Priscilla's final days. In lieu of flowers, please consider
donations to support those who help families undergoing their
final transition with dignity and peace Amedisys Foundation.
Services will be held at Greenland Cemetery on Saturday,
September 20th at 1 pm where Priscilla and David will be joined
together again in their final resting place. Following will be a
potluck celebration of life at the Greenland Parish House. Friends
and family are invited to attend both events.
