Priscilla Viola Hall, age 93, of York, PA transitioned to her eternal home at 6:55 pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Manor Care Kingston Court.
Born February 25, 1932, to the late William Miller and Catherine Barton-Miller in Delta, PA where she resided until she left at the early age of 15 to go live with her maternal grandparents in York, PA after the death of her mother. Priscilla received her GED in 1972 at William Penn High School, York, PA. She also attended Shippensburg College, Shippensburg, PA and HACC, Harrisburg, PA to study Psychology and Sociology. For many years she was employed as an Interviewer at the Office of Employment Security, now known as the Unemployment Office, for 20 years.
She was a proud member of both Small Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, York, PA and Trinity A.M.E., Delta, PA since 1950. While at Small Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church she served on the usher board as well as sang on the choir. She was a pillar of the east end community and received many recognitions and awards. She worked briefly at the York Historical Society Museum, York, PA.
Priscilla is survived by her two sons, Arland Miller (Gloria) of California and Howard Hall (Tonya) of York, PA and one daughter, Gladene Harris of York, PA. She has a total of 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren with one on the way, and a host of family and friends. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Timothy Hall and Barry Jones, Sr. (Denise), and her siblings Charles Miller, David Miller, Pauline Wallace-Davis and Laura Miller.
A homegoing service will be held at Small Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church located at 401 South Queen Street, York, PA on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Viewing will begin at 11am followed by the service beginning at 12pm. A burial will be held at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
