Graveside services for Gloria will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Columbia, PA with Pastor Gary Ziegler.
Gloria Jean (Wallace) Harner
On Saturday, August 9, 2025 surrounded by her family Gloria passed peacefully at the age of 86. She was born on June 2, 1939 to Arthur Wallace and Angelina (Simione) Wallace. She was the first born out of six, two sisters Shirley and Patti, and three brothers, Arthur, James and Stephan.
Gloria attended William Penn High School and played basketball, was a flag twirler and ping pong champion.
On August 18, 1956 she married Kenneth Harner. They had two children, Cindi L. Harner and Scott A. Harner.
Ken and Gloria took over a business, Nikki's in Carlisle and started their 36 years of bakeries in Harrisburg. They started Sugar n Spice (Leymoyne) which became Harner's Bakery in Broad Street Market. Gloria went to classes and learned to decorate cakes and won many awards for her special character cakes and beautiful wedding cakes.
Her hobbies were fishing, golfing, drawing and painting, knitting and cross stitching and reading.
Over the years she was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Family was the most important thing to her. She prayed for all her family every day.
Let us carry her love and passion of family to all her kids, grands, great grands and great great grands.
Graveside services for Gloria will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Columbia, PA with Pastor Gary Ziegler.
