Robert J. "Bob" Brubaker, 87, of Landisville, passed away at home Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Bob was a 1956 graduate of Columbia High School and served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He continued his education at Millersville University and went on to be a physics teacher at Hempfield High School for 36 years. He retired in 2000.
Bob and his fellow teachers worked as painters for many years during the summer months and also, he worked at Doug's Paint Store in East Petersburg. He had a passion for airplanes and completed his private license so he could fulfill his dream of flying.
Bob enjoyed hunting and going to the beach. He was a devoted member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Columbia.
He was the son of the late Janet Voight and Robert Brubaker. He is survived by his wife, Kay Alice (Miller) Brubaker; his daughter, Stephanie and his 3 grandchildren, Krispin, Daisy and Jerry. Also, surviving is his sister, Patricia Musser of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne.
Funeral Services will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Martha Harris, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Bob enjoyed hunting and going to the beach.
Funeral Services will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private for the family.
