Priscilla Ptasznik

Priscilla (Konior) Ptasznik, 98, of South Windsor, formerly of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Stanley V. Ptasznik died peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 2, 1926, in Middletown, CT, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Priscilla (Czajkowski) Konior. Priscilla grew up in Hartford and graduated from Hartford High School in 1944. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut and her master's degree from Central Connecticut State University. In 1960 she began substitute teaching in the Windsor, Connecticut school system and taught at all the Windsor schools throughout the years including the Stony Hill School finally retiring from Roger Wolcott in 1983. Priscilla later went to work for Weight Watchers for 15 years. She enjoyed bingo, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was a kind, caring and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed. She leaves her son, Thomas Ptasznik of Windsor Locks, her daughters, Karen Kvietkauskas of East Windsor, Donna Peska and her husband John of Walpole, NH; her grandchildren, Laura Elliott of Walpole, NH, Krystia Kvietkauskas of South Windsor, William Peska and his fiancee, Jill Monahan of Kingsfield, ME; Celyne Kvietkauskas, her partner Dan Turkington of South Windsor; great grandchildren, Ava, Ethan, Bennett, and Stassi. She was predeceased by her brother Louis Konior and her sister Lillian Pignone. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 11am – 12 pm at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A prayer service will follow in the funeral home at 12pm. Burial at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Windsor. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
