Providence Marie Valenzi (nee Arena), known affectionately as Provie, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, at the age of 92 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She was born on April 30, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York.
Provie was a loving mother and dedicated herself to her husband of 60 years, Armand. She was survived by her daughter Virginia, sons Joseph and Richard, daughter-in-laws Dorothy and Tondra, grandchildren Charles, Armand Joseph, Kelly Ann, Nicole, James, and Andrea, as well as great-grandchildren Ryan, Reagan, Erin, and Keira. Providence was preceded in death by her parents Dominica and Vito Arena, as well as her beloved husband Armand.
In her free time, Provie enjoyed spending time with her dog Cooper. She was known among her friends and family for her authentic Italian cooking. Her home was always open to making new friends and making friends family.
A funeral service to honor and remember Providence will be held at Lohman Funeral Home in Daytona Beach, Florida. The caring staff at Lohman Daytona will assist the family in arranging the details of the service.
Providence Marie Valenzi will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire all those who knew her.
Flowers may be sent or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sea Crest Wolf Preserve.
A Tribute will be held on January 6th, 2024 at 11 AM at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL. Calling hours will be from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will follow the service at Daytona Memorial Park.
