Prudence Crane, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 24, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1933, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Margaret Amodea. Prudy lived in Chicago until 1949 then moved to Hinsdale and lived there from 1949 to 1960. She and her husband Richard moved to Lombard in 1960 and raised their family on Taylor Road until 1989. They moved a couple miles down the road in Lombard in 1989 and lived there until her passing.

She was the beloved wife of Richard L. Crane for 64 years and cherished mother of Laura (Michael) Schuster and Thomas (Carol) Crane. Prudy was a proud grandmother to Zoe and Zachary Crane and sister to Joseph (Karin) Amodea.

Prudence and Richard loved spending time in Arizona and Florida during the winter months of the Midwest. She loved spending time with family and cooking her favorite recipes for everyone. She and her husband were long time parishioners of Christ the King/Sacred Heart in Lombard. She enjoyed a long career at Carson Pirie Scott and had a passion for travel, gardening, home decorating, and reading. She brought warmth, care, and creativity to all aspects of her life and will be fondly remembered by family and friends alike.
