Prue Dee Wood

Prue Dee (Purdy) Wood, age 87, of Dryden, MI died on June 20, 2024. She was born the 6th of 7 children to Clayton and Beatrice Purdy on the 20th day of April in 1937 in the small town of Drayton Plains, MI. Prue Dee was a loving, giving woman who loved God, her family and her country. She was also a woman of many talents; cooking, singing, arranging flowers, and writing poetry just to name a few. She was a positive, beautiful presence in our lives and she will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Lester Francis Wood, her brother Maxwell Purdy, sisters; Cheri Surre, Levile Wilcox and Babette Gaines and her parents. She is survived by her sister Barbara Huber and her brother Gary Purdy, her 6 children; Lester Francis Wood, Wendy Lee (Tommy) Adams, Jill Renee (Thomas) Carter, Dee Ann (Edwin) Tibbitts, Mark Russell (Tammy) Baker, and Layne Vincent Wood, 12 grandchildren; Sann Dee (Denny) Webb, Tony Schornak, Dawn (Isaiah) McBride, Andrina (Michael) Draughn, Chavonn (Mathew) Norton, Jenna (Blake) Robertson, Ambrette (Lucas) Thompson, Craig (Jessie) Strong, Adam (Sarah) Tibbitts, Katie (Usack) Foxwood, Denise (Tyler) Davis, Brittany, and Carolyn Wood, 14 great-grandchildren; Hannah, Trisha (Jacob), Olivia, Ronald, Joshua, Amy Lee, Katie, Arielle, Griffin, Maxwell, Tyler, Christina (Dovie), Lilith and Evelyn, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; Amiyah and Kayden. A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 2, 2024 at the Dryer Funeral Home from 9-11AM. The Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday July 2, 2024 with Pastor Tim Erickson officiating.
