Williamsburg- Quinn Christian Teggatz was born November 4, 1994 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Troy Teggatz and Loretha (Mosley) Teggatz. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 2013 and then attended Kirkwood Community College. While in high school, Quinn was active in show choir, played the saxophone in marching band and jazz band in addition to playing football. He worked as a cook at Bryant’s Bar and Grill in Williamsburg. Quinn enjoyed spending time in nature, traveling whenever he could, playing blues and jazz on his sax and bass in addition to creating his own beats.
Quinn lived life his way, by his own rules (#BroSaid), loved his friends and family fiercely, gave the best hugs to whomever would let him, always wore a smile, doled out the best advice and had a giving heart. Quinn passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo at the age of 28 years.
He is survived by his parents, Troy Teggatz and Loretha Teggatz; sister, Kaya Lorine Teggatz; grandparents, Ralph Teggatz and Kay (Fetzer) Teggatz; his aunts, Dawn Teggatz and Vickie (Michael) Zimmer; his girlfriend, Krista White; many cousins and his #1 bro, Sean Hester. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Winnie Mosley, aunt, Patricia Jackson and uncle, Johnny Jackson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Williamsburg. There will be a gathering for fellowship at Bryant's Chill and Grill in Williamsburg following the burial. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at Farmers Trust and Savings Bank in Williamsburg under Quinn's name and donations can be mailed or dropped off there and sent through Venmo https://venmo.com/u/QuinnTeggatzmemorialfund. I have fond memories of working with Quinn back in our Nike days. We seen eachother sometimes outside of work and again worked together at American Eagle for awhile. I have many fond memories of Quinn and was taken back when I heard the news. My heart goes out to his family.
