For many years she taught a class at Glad Tidings for new believers. In later years, she served on the bereavement meal team. Ms. Rachel also began and served in a ministry for widows and did so until her illness in November. Ms. Rachel will be remembered as a true beacon of faith, which showed in her desire to help others learn and grow in their relationship with God.
The family would like to thank all the many friends, church family, neighbors, and others who helped during the last 6 months of her declining health. A special thank you goes to Carteret Health Care Home Health and Hospice, in particular, Robin Lingle, Brenda Greene, and sitter, Tonya Batten.
