Willie Walden Allred, a devoted family man and a respected member of his community, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 16, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on November 17, 1929, in Quincy, Mississippi, Willie lived a life characterized by his unwavering faith and strong familial bonds.
Willie proudly served his country during World War II, where he was stationed in Germany. His bravery and dedication to service were a point of pride throughout his life. After returning from his military service, he embarked on a fruitful career, working with General Motors, Nash Motors, and Pipe Line Work 798. Willie was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in everything he did.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Willie cherished spending time tending to his yard and gardening, activities that brought him immense joy and served as a testament to his nurturing spirit. He was a god-fearing man, deeply passionate about reading the Bible, which guided his actions and interactions with those around him.
Willie will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, with his proudest accomplishments being his family and their shared memories. He is survived by his daughter Dianne Tibbett and grandchildren Bonnie Buchanan (Mark), Tracy Shanklin (Dan), Matthew Irvin (Courtney), Joe Allred, Shree Allred, Stevie Allred, Alex Buchanan, Trey Edgil; brother, Jimmy Allred; and a host of great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Alene Allred; second wife, Gladys Baker, his son, Gary Steve Allred, his mother, Colie Doshie Allred, and father, Jim Allred, along with siblings, Marie Reeves, James Roy Allred, Johnny Allred, Mary Harris, Jimmy Allred, Charles Allred, and Clara Mae Hurley.
Willie's brother, Jimmy Allred, was his closest companion, and their bond provided support and camaraderie throughout their lives. This cherished friendship was a significant aspect of Willie's journey.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 17, 2025, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Willie's life was a blessing to many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
