Rachel Minaya

Rachel Minaya was born on September 20, 1968, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to parents James Albright and Jane (nee Delaney). She grew up in West New York, New Jersey and attended Memorial High School. She went on to receive a degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City. She spent her career as an interior designer and the founder of RMS Interior Design, helping bring her love and light into the homes of others.
Rachel was the beloved wife of Omar Minaya, and is survived by her two sons, Teddy and Justin Minaya. Rachel was a dedicated wife, mother and daughter who supported her family and loved ones in every way. Both of her sons have dedicated their lives and careers to making her proud. She had an unbreakable bond with her brother, the late James Albright, with whom she was inseparable.
Rachel also leaves behind beloved aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends who will remember her fondly.
She took joy in humbly creating beauty for those around her-whether it was through transforming the homes of others, tending to her flourishing garden, cooking delicious meals, or upkeeping her impeccable eye for fashion and detail. Rachel was known for her elegant nature, and for holding kindness for every person that she knew.
Her passing is an immense loss to those around her, however she is leaving behind her infectious love and unwavering care for others. She will be missed by those around her, who will hold her memory most dear.
