Rachel E. Tarrence, 40, of Maryville, IL passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

She was born on December 5, 1985 in Harrisburg, IL to William and Vicky (nee: Mitchell) Tarrence.

Rachel was known with a servant's heart and loved taking care of others. She was a loving and devoted mother. Her and the children enjoyed going out to eat, going to the park or shopping for the newest toys or trending clothes. Family time with Rachel was important, especially cookouts and swimming. She also was an avid cook and loved taking pictures of her dishes. Most importantly, she loved God.

Rachel is survived by her mother; a daughter, Eden Chitwood of Chicago; 2 sons: Blaine Tarrence of Maryville and Gavin Tarrence of Maryville; a brother, Spencer (Heather) Tarrence of Highland and her aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

Besides her father, Rachel is preceded in death by her grandparents: Harold & Barbara Digby and Billy & Fern Tarrence and several aunts and uncles.
