Rafael Gonzalez, 74, falleció el martes, 20 de mayo de 2025, rodeado del amor y apoyo de su familia. El nació el día 3 de noviembre de 1950 en Villa Juarez de San Luis Potosi, Mexico a sus padres Petra Lopez y Gonzalo Gonzalez.
Con una enorme tristeza en nuestros corazones hoy despedimos a un hombre maravilloso, un gran esposo que adoro a su esposa hasta el último aliento, un padre que deja mucho amor y enseñanzas y Un abuelo amado por sus nietos que lo recordaran con mucho cariño. Rafael González era reconocido por su carácter firme, pero también por ser un buen amigo que ayudaba a quienes lo rodeaban. Le encantaba escuchar música y cantar, aunque su mayor placer era pasar tiempo con sus nietos, contándoles relatos de su juventud.
Era ampliamente conocido por su riquísimo pan dulce que el mismo preparaba ya que desde muy joven aprendió el hermoso oficio de panadero, tu amor sigue iluminando el camino de nuestra familia. Rafael González será profundamente extrañado por todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.
Le sobreviven su esposa Sabina Mares González, sus hijos Karla Guerrero, Sylvia Ríos, Raquel Llamas, Leticia Grifaldo, Elizabeth Gallegos, Jesús Salvador González y Rafael González Jr. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Elvira Izaguirre, Adolfa Alvarado y Juan González. Le preceden en la muerte sus padres y un hijo Ramiro González.
Una visita se llevará a cabo el domingo, 25 de mayo de 2025, de 4:00pm - 6:00pm con un rosario a las 6:00pm recitado por el diácono Alfonzo Moreno. Una misa de resurrección tendrá lugar el lunes 26 de mayo de 2025, a las 10:00am en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón oficiado por el Padre Jason Martini. El entierro tendrá lugar en el Cementerio Catolico de St. James. Los portadores del féretro incluyen a Fernando Almazan, Jose Orduña, Luis Martinez, Luis Leija, Sebastian Llamas, Jaime Izaguirre, Felipe Hernandez y Jose Luis Izaguirre.

He was born on November 03, 1950, in Villa Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to his parents Petra Lopez and Gonzalo Gonzalez.
With an enormous amount of sadness, we say goodbye to a marvelous man. A great husband who adored his wife until his last breath, a father who showed his children love and many life lessons, and a grandfather who is remembered by his grandchildren for his heart of gold. Rafael Gonzalez is recognized for his strong character, and also for being a great friend who always lent a helping hand. He loved listening to music and he enjoyed singing his favorite songs, but most of all his greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren and telling them stories from his childhood.
He was widely known for his pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread) that he himself prepared, he learned the craft of being a Panadero (baker) as a young boy. His love will continue to illuminate the path for our family. Rafael Gonzalez will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his wife Sabina Mares Gonzalez, his children Karla Guerrero, Sylvia Rios, Raquel Llamas, Leticia Grifaldo, Elizabeth Gallegos, Jesus Salvador Gonzalez, and Rafael Gonzalez, Jr. He is also survived by his siblings Elvira Izaguirre, Adolfa Alvarado and Juan Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son Ramiro Gonzalez.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with a rosary following at 6:00pm recited by Deacon Alfonzo Moreno. A mass of the resurrection will take place on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers include Fernando Almazan, Jose Orduña, Luis Martinez, Luis Leija, Sebastian Llamas, Jaime Izaguirre, Felipe Hernandez, and Jose Luis Izaguirre.
