Rainea Mousa Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dunnichay Funeral Home - Elwood on Jul. 1, 2025.
Rainea C. Mousa was a beacon of resilience and inspiration, her spirit shining brightly throughout her 70 years of life. Born on February 13, 1955, in Anderson, Indiana, Rainea was a true force of nature, demonstrating a profound strength and determination in all facets of her life. Her vibrant energy was infectious, spreading warmth and positivity to everyone she encountered. She dedicated her life to caring for others, working tirelessly in the dietary department of Anderson University until her retirement. Her devotion to her work was surpassed only by her love for her family and friends.
Rainea's passions extended far beyond her work. As a dedicated Colts fan, she spent many a Sunday afternoon immersed in the exhilaration of football. She also loved facing the thrill of racing and the suspense of basketball, her enthusiasm for sports being a testament to her dynamic spirit. Rainea found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life - working in her beloved yard, fishing under the open sky, and sunbathing in the warm Indiana summers. Her spirit will live on in these passions she so dearly loved.
)Rainea is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Mike) Lane and Timberly Haskell; grandchildren, Sabrina (Cody) Fisher, Jeremiah (Stephanie) Johns, Christopher Myers, Candace (Tyler) Martensen, Daisy Myers, and Spencer Lane; great-grandchildren, Creed Johns, McKenzie & Charlie Fisher, and Jack & Julie Martensen; and siblings George Haskell, Patty Gilbert, Darlene Shaw, Dava (Jerry) Swinford, and Veronica (Pork) Porter; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special friends, Irene Myers, Shonda Jones, and Christna Mousa. Rainea was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Haskell; son, Mitchell Mousa; former son-in-law, Chris Myers; brother-in-law, Jim Shaw; and granddaughter, Shonda Myers.
In celebration of Rainea's life, a memorial service will be held at a later date. We invite all who knew and loved Rainea to share their memories, photos, and stories on her memorial page, as we remember the inspiring life she lived and the love she shared with us all.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
