Ralph Henderson Cook, of Rutledge, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Mr. Cook was a devoted husband, having shared 69 wonderful years of marriage, and a loving family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a hard worker known for his great integrity, values he proudly passed on to his children. Mr. Cook enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and loved traveling, especially trips to Florida, the mountains, and Biloxi. An outdoorsman at heart, he found joy in fishing and spending time outside. Above all, he had a heart for anyone and everyone, and his kindness and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Henderson Cook and Sally Sue Cook; 6 brothers and sisters; and daughter-in-law, Joy Cook.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cook; daughters, Cathy Holbrook (Brett), Susan Latimer (Larry); son, Ralph Cook, Jr.; grandchildren, Shannon Kindle, Travis and Shannon Campbell, Heather Kimbrell, Christina Cook, Tammy Campbell, Brandi Lippert (Chris), Stephanie Cook;
Step-grandchildren, Matt, Jennifer and Andrew Holbrook; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Haley Kindle, Brooklin Lippert, Elizabeth Kimbrell, Kensley Kindle, Karlee Bell Kindle, Ethan Kimbrell, Henderson Lippert, Camden Lippert, step-great-grandchild, Mason Holbrook; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Cook will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family two hours prior to his service from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
