Stephanie Giles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel - Covington on Feb. 19, 2026.
Mrs. Stephanie Renee Giles of Covington, age 54, passed away on February 14, 2026. Born on October 16, 1971, Stephanie lived a life marked by joy, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

Stephanie enjoyed painting in her spare time and loved to cook for her family. An ever-present figure in her grandchildren's lives, her favorite of all was spending time with them.

She leaves behind her husband of nearly 36 years, Mike Giles, Sr. Together, they a strong foundation. Stephanie's spirit will continue to shine through her children, Michael Giles, Jr. (Erica), Matthew Giles (Myranda Kinny), and Jazmine Giles. Her grandchildren, Michael Giles, III, Noah Giles, Logan Giles, Zach Giles, Charlie Patton, Merelene Patton, and Cody Patton, will miss their grandmother's playful spirit and nurturing embrace.

Her mother, Carolyn Durden, will remember Stephanie as a beacon of light in the family, a role she embraced fully after the passing of her father, Sydney Lee Durden. Stephanie's siblings, Tina Fuller, Lynn Higdon (Gene), and Kevin Durden (Kelly), will hold dear the memories of a sister whose laughter and creativity brought immeasurable warmth to their lives.

Stephanie's presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her absence will be felt deeply. As we say goodbye to Stephanie Renee Giles, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so freely. She was a cherished wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, caring daughter, and dear sister.

A Memorial Service will be at 2 o'clock on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral with Pastor David Payne officiating. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services.
