Ralph Daniel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brooks & White Funeral Home and Crematory - Roxboro on Dec. 30, 2025.
Ralph Lebbious Daniel was born at home in rural Orange County on November 4, 1943. He was immediately rushed to Duke Hospital and was diagnosed with physical and mental disabilities, along with other health issues. Doctors estimated he would not live to the age of two, would never walk or talk, and encouraged our parents to place him in a home. God had other plans. Our parents took him home to love and nurture, and he did walk and talk and lived to the age of 82. Ralph passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, after living a life filled with much love and many struggles. He was preceded in death by his parents B.C. and Esther Daniel; his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Hortense Daniel; his maternal grandparents, Lebby and Maggie Rhew, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. To cherish his memory, Ralph leaves behind his brother Harrison Daniels and his sisters, Nancy Fox, Carol Strange (Charles) and Cynthia Russell (Gary). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Daren Fox, Tracey Fox (Angie), Charlie Strange (Wendy), Caitlin Strange, Annie Phillips (Dustin), Maggie Garland (Chris), Devin Atwell (Jacob), Austin Fox, Brody Strange, Willow Strange and Leo Atwell. As well as two aunts, Janie Merritt and Kathryn Daniel.
The family wishes to thank all current and past staff and residents at A Touch Of Love for the care and companionship that they extended to Ralph over the past 15 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, January 2, 2026, at Brooks and White Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. M. David Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at Berry's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to service from 10-11 AM at Brooks and White Chapel. Pallbearers will be Daren Fox, Austin Fox, Charlie Strange, Dustin Phillips, Chris Garland, and Randy Russell.
Memorials may be made to Berry's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 9628 Berry Road, Timberlake, NC 27583.
