Mr. Ralph Favors

Mr. Ralph Favors was born on February 5, 1945, to Eddie B. Favors and Jack Huff in Griffin, Georgia. Mr. Favors was educated at Fairmont High School in Griffin, Georgia.

Ralph accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was united with Achaia Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Ronald K. Adams. Mr. Ralph Favors was the oldest member by male membership. He was the President Emeritus of the Usher's Ministry, member of the Men of Prayer, Sunday School, Midweek Worship and accompanied the Pastor and AMBC on most outings. He truly loved Achaia Missionary Baptist Church, his Pastor, First Lady and his formal Pastor and his wife.

In Ralph's leisure time he enjoyed watching and going to football games, basketball games, car racing, and most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Mr. Ralph Favors name was called, with his body glowing, and a smile on his face he answered and was set free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ms. Eddie B. Favors, and Mr. Jack Huff, his sisters, Linda Howard and Sheila Stanford, and his brothers, Otis Lowe, and Larry Lowe.

Mr. Ralph Favors leaves to cherish his memory his loving, devoted and patient wife, Mrs. Virginia B. Favors; daughter, Chiquita (Pastor Charles) Lovett, two sons, Zashun Hood, and Jermaine R. Powell; 2 grandchildren, 9 grandchildren, one great granddaughter; siblings, Grady (Deborah) Huff, Timothy Huff, Willie Huff, Freddie Huff, Randy Huff, Jack Huff, Jr., Charleen Mathis, Sheila Huff and Charryun Huff; sisters-in-law, Vivian (Elijah) Norman and Gloria (John) Addison; brothers-in-law, John Edward Brown, Jeffery (Delora) Brown, and Anthony (Theresa) Anderson, godson. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service will be help on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Achaia Missionary Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to the service hour. Pastor Ronald K. Adams is the Pastor of Achaia and the Officiant, and Pastor Anthony Anderson is the Eulogist.
