Ralph J. Fuchs, 59, of Pleasant Valley, died unexpectedly on March 6, 2022, at Vassar Bros. Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Born October 3, 1962, in the Bronx, he was the son of the late Ralph J. Fuchs Sr. and Rose Nicolella Fuchs. His mother survives.
He proudly served in the United States Navy in the early 1980's.
Mr. Fuchs worked in the maintenance department at The Pines of Poughkeepsie for several years until his retirement.
Ralph's family definitely considered him a "foodie." He especially loved his cookies and cakes; anything to satisfy his sweet tooth!

On October 2, 2004, in St. Mary's Church, Poughkeepsie, he married the former Nancy J. Longi. Mrs. Fuchs survives at home.
Ralph loved his family and animals. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Denise Fuchs; stepson, Stephen Longi, stepdaughter, Kelli Longi, stepson, Michael Ryan; several grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He is also survived by his brother, Richard A. Fuchs and wife, Winnie; sister, Nancy M. Caruana and fiancé, Doug DeRosa; many nieces and nephews; and cousin, Irene Hoar, and son, Timothy Hoar.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be from 4 to 7 PM, Friday, March 11th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
