Ralph Hall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nichols-Stephens Funeral and Cremation Service on Jan. 8, 2026.
Ralph "Unk" Hall, Jr., aged 71, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his home near Grove, Oklahoma. Born in Flagstaff, Arizona on February 24, 1954 to Ralph and Irene (Taber) Hall, Unk was a man with a happy demeanor, big smile, and loving nature. Few even knew Ralph's first name, as he had been affectionately called Unk for many years, dubbed by a nephew, and carried on by his friends as a fitting title. He was a gentle soul, always ready to lend a hand or share his extensive knowledge of fixing or repairing just about anything that needed his expertise. His kindness and helpfulness made him a cherished friend to many.

Professionally, Unk spent several years as a skilled machinist at Wayne Burt Machine Shop. He also worked in construction and as a general 'handy-man'. His proficiency and dedication to his craft were well respected in his field.

Outside of work, Unk had a passion for motorcycling and tinkering in the garage. These hobbies provided him not only with immense personal joy but also with opportunities to connect with fellow enthusiasts and friends. In years past he greatly delighted in riding his motorcycle and spent enjoyable and rewarding time with the local Posse Group, attending events and assisting those in need. He was blessed to have a tender and giving heart and extended those blessings to those who knew him.

Ralph is survived by Jeanie Takacs, his significant other who has been faithfully by his side for over 10 years; his two sisters Barbara Munson of Idaho and Shirley Jenkins of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents. His presence will be deeply missed by his many friends and all who had the pleasure to know him.

Memorial services for Unk will be announced at a later date. Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Services in Grove, Oklahoma, is assisting the family during this time. Ralph's life will be celebrated by all those he touched, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
