Ralph Dale Hamilton, age 76, of Norman, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
He was born on July 29, 1948, in Black Springs, Arkansas, to Earnest Melton Hamilton and Media Carter Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers, Joe Hamilton, Dewayne Hamilton, Paul Hamilton; his five sisters, Verna Dean Wright, Virginia Sandlin, Mary Phillips, Rosalee Jackson, Lela Mae Wright; and his granddaughter, Whitney Meagan McClard.
He worked as a truck driver and saw filer at many local sawmills. He also pastored Mt. Calvary in Glenwood, Arkansas. He enjoyed traveling the state in his Corvette as well a his motorcycle to attend ballgames, races, or any events his family was at or involved in. He also enjoyed traveling with his fiancé, Linda Milner.
Papaw Ralph is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Fred) McLard; his two sons, Dale (Angie) Hamilton and Zachary Hamilton; his nine grandchildren, Nathan (Lauren) McClard, Nick (Carlee) McClard, Natalie (Cody) Grizzle, Ryan Hamilton, Wesley (Makenzy) Hamilton, Page Parnell (Nate), Alyssa Hamilton, Riliegh Hamilton, and Emma Hamilton; his six great-grandchildren, Allie, Myles, Brody, Reese, Charlee, and Malcom; his fiancé, Linda Milner; his four sisters-in-law, Nancy Hamilton, Flo Hamilton, Arvetta Hamilton, and Marsha Pitman; the mothers of his children, Judy Rone and Anna Miller; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
The family wanted to give a special thank you to Dr. Raja and all of the wonderful nurses at Carti Cancer Institute, the doctors and nurses at CHI St. Vincent, and the hospice team at CHI.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel-Glenwood.
Visitation will be held prior to services on Monday, January 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
