Ralph Keiran Holmes

Ralph Keiran Holmes Sr., age 87, of Linthicum, Md, died peacefully on January 11th, 2026. He was born on September 15th, 1938, the youngest son of Bernard and Margaret Holmes, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth Ann Holmes. Ralph is survived by his son, Ralph Holmes Jr., and his partner, Jane Ferguson; his daughter, Patricia (Trish) Till; and his sister-in-law, Pat Hales. He is also survived by his grandson, Daniel Till, and two great-grandchildren, Dustin Holmes and Layla Till; his brother, Bernard Holmes, and Bernard's wife, Jean. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Holmes, and his grandchildren, Erica and Jason Holmes. He leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss him. Ralph was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School (1957). He had a long, successful career in Banking. He later owned a business along with his wife, Ruth. Ralph was heavily involved with the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Department in the 1960's and 1970's. He served as chief for two years in the early 1960s and continued to show interest and support throughout his life. He loved reading and was a lifelong regular at the local library.
