Olson Funeral Home - BloomerRalph Milton McGuire Jr., age 71, passed away at his home on August 12, 2025, under the care of St. Croix Hospice. He was born on July 6, 1954, in Waukesha, WI to Ralph Milton and Lorretta (Becher) McGuire. He attended Kettle Moraine High School and graduated with the Class of 1972. On June 26, 1976, Ralph married Mary Fink in Genessee Depot, WI. Ralph worked for Mueller Pipeline as a gas pipeline welder and later started McGuire and Son’s Landscaping Business in Ridgeland, WI.
Ralph grew up with a deep love for the outdoors, from raising horses with his wife, Mary, and their two children, Jeni and Jesse, to more recently tending to his chickens and putzing around on his tractor, this passion carried throughout his entire life. Ralph was a lifelong hunter, fisherman and even dabbled in trapping.
Ralph was a devoted husband to his wife of nearly 50 years: Mary McGuire, and together they built a life rich in love, laughter, and lasting memories. He took enormous pride in his children: Jeni (Craig) Greenwell and Jesse (Micki) McGuire, and delighted in watching them build their own families and lives.
Ralph was “Grandpa” in the fullest and most loving sense of the word—beaming with pride at his grandchildren: Abbie (Avery) Pedersen, Aryn (Spencer) Herrick, Ashton Greenwell, and Colton McGuire; and cherishing every moment with his great-granddaughter: Eleanor Grace Pedersen. He celebrated their accomplishments, whether big milestones or everyday joys, and made sure they knew how deeply they were loved. He is survived by his sister: Beverly (Scott) Andrae; brothers, Pat (Jeanne) McGuire and Roger (Margie) McGuire; beloved dogs: Lacy and Izzy; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph Sr. and Loretta McGuire; brothers: Don and Mike McGuire.
Ralph’s life is one to be celebrated. He touched the lives of so many, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the home of Craig & Jeni Greenwell: N13002 665th St. Ridgeland, WI. The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice, especially nurse Sarah, for all the care and support.
