Ralph Meir, 58, was taken far too soon after putting up a strong fight against cancer. Ralph was born on May 31, 1966, in Lancaster, WI to Frank and Suzanne. The youngest of 8 children. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his parents, his sister Laura and brute John. He is survived by his wife, Anna Davey, her daughters Misty (Ken) and Krissa (Art) and their grandchildren Lillianna, Brayden, Serenity, Harper, Isabella, and Huxley. Siblings, Barb, Rose, Diane, Frank, and Robert.
Ralph attended college at UW-Plattville and started working at the Department of Transportation while still in College, this is where he met the love of his life. They celebrated thirty short years together where he thrived as a partner and loved being grandpa. While the girls were growing up you could find Ralph in the park pitching softballs for all the neighborhood kids. As the girls grew up, he brought back pregnancy craving foods from hours away and helped them build their forever homes. He took time to build cribs and dressers, he snuggled babies and helped teach kids to ride bikes. He read books, told jokes, and loved pranks, especially hiding things in his t-shirt pocket. Kids would often find their stuffed animals as Christmas Tree toppers or maybe kidnapped and held hostage for ransom. He spent winters growing out his beard just to dress up as Santa for one day. He spent summers ensuring the sandbox, swing-set and playhouse was ready for fun. He took time to pack snacks and juice before picking grandkids up from school to go on adventures. There isn't a room in a house that would be moved around without graph paper and scale drawings and cutouts. There also isn't a day that goes by that we won't miss his signature glasses and pocket t-shirts.
Please help us celebrate Ralph's life on Sunday May 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the Billings Park Civic Center, 3903 N. 18th Street, Superior, WI.
The family invites you all to join them in honoring Ralph by wearing a pocket t-shirt.
