RALPH W. MOCK

     Ralph W. Mock, 88, of Mayville passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro. He was born March 22, 1936 in Dearborn to Walter Frederick and Kaethe Helen (Burmeister) Mock. He married Frances Ruth Owen on November 17, 1957. She predeceased him. 

     Ralph loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed playing pinochle, euchre, coaching boy’s minor and little league baseball and men and women’s travel softball. Ralph was passionate about farming, raising his cattle, caring for the family vegetable garden and tinkering in his workshop. 

     Ralph is survived by his children: Ronald (Penny) Mock, Denise (Kevin) Bliss, Robert (Chantee’) Mock; grandchildren: Amanda (Randy) Marquart, Lisa (Dan) Mayfield; great grandchild, Bryelee Marquart; brother, Gerhardt Mock; sister, Ingeborg Cheetham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; granddaughter, Sarah Mock; sister, Ursula Mary Ann McGaha; half-brother, Percy Mock; half-sister, Evelyn Mock.

     Honoring Ralph’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private burial will be held in East Dayton Cemetery. Ralph’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his homecare givers:  Brenda, Wendy, Heather, Jody, Essie, Neil, and the staff of the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility for their compassionate care.
