Ralph Renner Obituary
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
Ralph was born on March 2, 1954, in Monroe Center, WI to Ralph and Myrtle (Sutherland) Renner. He graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1972.
Ralph married Susan Kniprath on June 3, 1977. He worked as a Millwright at the Port Edwards Mill until retirement in 2009.
Ralph was a fan of all Wisconsin sports teams. He especially loved the game of baseball, which he played for many years. He passed on his love of the game to his children and many others, with a lot of patience and hours of practice and hitting and fielding baseballs. He enjoyed working on cars, riding his Harley, and driving his olds 442.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Susan Renner; sons, Brennan (Andrea) Renner and Bradley (Brianna) Renner; grandchildren, Oliver, Leo, Ian, Audriana and Danielle; siblings, Carol Thome, Ken (Amy) Renner, Rosemary Pazurek, John (Carrie) Renner, Betsie (Rob) Skinner, and Matt (Tracie) Renner; sister-in-law, Fran Renner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Miranda "Mindy" Renner; and siblings, Patsy Renner, Larry Renner, Sherri Shamal, Karen Kissner, and Ben Renner.
Ritchay Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ralph had a way of making one feel at ease whatever the situation. You knew you were in the company of a truly sincere person just talking with him as he not only smiled with his mouth but with his eyes. Truly a wonderful person. My maiden name is Diana Boardman, my sincere sympathy on your loss.

We will always remember Ralph for his smile and friendliness. Throughout middle and high school our lockers were next to each other. My maiden name, Reichert came alphabetically next to Renner. Ralph was always willing to give me enough room to get through to my locker as the space was tight. Kim had a unspoken bond with the Renner's as they were all from "New Rome". There are many landmarks that only someone from New Rome would identify with.
