Ralph Edward Rick, 82, of Perkasie passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on October 3rd, 2023. Born in Quakertown, Ralph was the son of the late Paul Rick and the late Virginia Rick (Lewis).
Ralph graduated from Quakertown High School in 1951. He then went on to work at Keystone Box Factory until he was drafted into the Army in 1965. Ralph proudly served in the Vietnam War. After the war, Ralph continued his employment at Keystone Box Factory until he joined Ametek US Gauge where he retired from in 2005. Ralph was a member of the Knights of Columbus branched at St. John’s in Ottsville and the Moose Lodge in Sellersville. Ralph spent most of his time outside tending to his garden and lawn. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle, traveling to National Parks, and watching Eagles football and Phillies baseball games. Above all, Ralph loved spending time with his family and friends.
Ralph will be dearly missed by his wife, Ruth, together they shared 56 years of marriage; his children, Brion Rick, Bonnie Harrison (Joe Harrison), Gregory Rick (Renee Woodward), and Kathy Kelley (Ron Kelley); his grandchildren, Janae Brown, Jaye Harrison, Tyler Keeping, Brittany Hill, Kaitlyn Rick, Sean D’Amico, Mackenzie Rick, and Bella Rick; his great-grandchildren, Mariah, Colton, Layla, and Jaxson; his siblings, Marlene Banning, Dolores Warmkessel (Doug), Faye Kooker, and Tim Rick (Kathy George); his cousins, Harold Rick and Maryann Sherman; his nephew and niece, Jeff Warmkessel and Michelle Harwood (Sid Harwood); his friends, Edward Thaler and Keith Grierson, Owner of Homewatch Caregivers of Quakertown. Ralph was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Asher Banning and Raymond Kooker.
All are invited for a viewing on Sunday, October 8th, from 6:00PM-8:00PM located at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd. 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA, 18951. Mass will be held on Monday, October 9th, from 10:30AM-11:30AM located at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 4050 Durham Road, Ottsville, PA, 18942. A graveside service will follow at Riegelsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
