Ralph E. Sparrow

Ralph Edward Sparrow, was one of seven children born from the union of Lena Mae Wells Sparrow and Joseph Sparrow on February 2, 1958 in Paterson NJ. He departed this life on November 19th at home with his loving wife Stephanny Sparrow and son Charles Sparrow at his side.
Ralph was raised in Passaic, New Jersey and attended Passaic Public School system. Ralph worked many various jobs including Tony's Trucking. He later worked for Meals With A Mission Food Pantry, where he was assigned a supervisor position. He was very passionate in that position, because he was able to bless many people that were in need of food.
Ralph was the life of every party and enjoyed every family event. He loved cooking, music, dancing and just people in general. He deeply loved his wife Stephanny. He dated Stephanny Hodges for eight years and they were wed on December 21, 2019. Ralph was affectionately known for his singing, dancing, and sharp dressing. His love and devotion for his family and friends was known to all who knew and loved him.
Ralph was devoted to his church and later became Deacon of the New Faith Baptist Church, where he was installed as Chairman of the Deacon Board. As Deacon Ralph was dedicated to the church, his pastor and its members. His passion and pride as a deacon was evident to all who attended and worshiped with him.
On Saturday, November 19, Ralph received the sweetest released from his earthly journey when God called him home. He leaves to cherish precious memories. His beautiful wife Deaconess Stephanny Sparrow; his sons Ralph Sean McCutchen of Paterson; Maurice, Charles and Philip Sparrow of Passaic; three bonus sons: Rashid Hodges, Atlanta GA, Kareem Hodges Fort Mitchell AL, Yoshi Tokimasa, Paterson. Loving sister Loretta Sparrow, Lena Cannon (Robert), Josephine Starr (Allen) all of Passaic NJ, Sally Ann Hinton of Paterson, a special Aunt Ruby Johnson of Newark DE, a special Uncle James Sparrow of Orange, NJ, his devoted friend Benjamin Diehl of Virginia, and Miss Darlene Sturdivant of NC who did not give birth to Ralph but called him her son and loved him as her own. Also, Denella Moore, the mother of his eldest son, they remained best of friends. As well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. He was preceded in death by his brothers Butch and Billy Sparrow and sister Audrey Oliver.
