Ramon Keith "Ray" Lebon, 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Ray was born on July 28, 1931 in Pana, Illinois, the son of Marceau and Mable (Reese) Lebon. He served in the United States Navy as a corpsman in Korea. He later worked as a communications supervisor for Norfolk and Southern Railroad He was married to Margery Alice Lambert for 32 years, until her passing. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club, the VFW, and the American Legion in Gaston.
Ray is survived by his children, Megan (Jeff) Cross, Ramona (Jeff) Lebon, Michelle (Michael) Baty, and Marceau (Tina) Lebon; step-children, Janet (Charlie) Powers, Jody (Ray) Hyde, Doug Shull, and Lisa Burns. He will also be missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Marceau and Mable Lebon and his wife, Margery Alice Lebon, and his siblings.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the American Legion Post #387, 101 N. Sycamore St., Gaston, IN 47342.
All arrangements are entrusted to The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel and online condolences may be left for the family at www.meeksmortuary.com
