Ramona R. Bailey, 92, of Oquawka, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at her home.

Ramona was born July 5, 1933 in Oquawka, IL, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Russell Manning. She was raised and educated in Oquawka and graduated from Oquawka High School.

Ramona married Loren R. “Buck” Bailey on May 29, 1954 in Oquawka and he passed away on January 10, 2018.

Ramona worked at Sylvania in Burlington for several years before leaving to raise her family and become a homemaker. Later, she worked part-time as a clerk at Anchor Hardware in Oquawka. She was a member of the Oquawka United Methodist Church. Romona enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting, and had a deep love for animals. She also volunteered with the Humane Society.

Ramona is survived by her son, Ty Bailey of Oquawka, IL; her two granddaughters; one grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and several family members.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2025 at Oquawka Cemetery, Oquawka, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to the Oquawka Fire Dept., Oquawka Ambulance Service, or the Henderson County Humane Society and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
