Ramona L. Brown

Nottingham, NH - Ramona Louise (Foss) Brown passed away on Thursday, May 18, at Watson Fields, Dover, N.H. after a period of declining health.
She was born April 14, 1951, to Frederick and Marjorie Twombly Foss, the youngest of three children. She was a lifelong resident of Nottingham where she raised her family and lived her life in service to them, her parents, her siblings, and her friends.
She married Charles Ashton Brown on May 10, 1970, the same date as her mother and father 23 years earlier. Their union produced 2 sons, Ethan Charles and Caleb Frederick. She was employed by the Newmarket Police Department as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police and was a graduate of the NH Part-time Police Academy. She served as a paralegal for a number of years proceeding and after her employment with the police department, and retired from the Law Firm of Robinson, Boesch, Sennott and Masse in 2017.
Ramona possessed an acute sense of humor and would casually inject that humor into the rhythm of a conversation without missing a beat. She frolicked in a world of her creation, full of love and humor and generosity. She disallowed ignorant biases and would suffer fools only briefly. She laughed easily and would dispense her limitless wit and genuine concern for others without restraint. She reveled in the presence of family and friends and was delighted to host reunions frequently. The light of our family is greatly dimmed with her passing.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles, her son Ethan, son Caleb and his wife Erica, grandchildren Riley, Peyton and Ashton, and brother Gunnar Foss and his wife Heidi. She was predeceased by her father Frederick, mother Marjorie, and brother Tristam.
Friends are welcome to visiting hours from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday May 31, 2023 with a remembrance ceremony at 6:30 pm at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home at 77 Exeter Road in Newmarket, NH.
