Rand Mitchel Brugger

Rand Mitchel Brugger, age 76 of Bloomington and formerly of Faribault, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at The Wealshire of Bloomington.
A private remembrance service will be held for close friends and immediate family.
Arrangements are being completed by Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault.
Rand Mitchel, son of Herbert and Maryann (Mentz) Brugger, Jr., was born on March 6, 1949, in Faribault. Rand earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1972, with minors in business and teaching, from Mankato State University. He lettered in baseball four years in a row, an accomplishment he was proud of. In 1971, his baseball team was inducted into the Mankato State University Hall of Fame.
Rand's 38-year career focused on professional management in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, and Human Resources. Rand retired on March 4, 2011, from Saint Therese Senior Care Center, after eleven years as Director of Human Resources. His career spanned many different industries, large and small, publicly and privately, and held in numerous states.
Rand moved back to Minnesota some thirty years ago to be back with family. His leisure time was devoted to family, fishing, and hunting. Rand was dedicated to Mankato State University, where he served as an alumni board member for six years. The highlight of Rand's life was his deep friendships with three college friends spanning thirty years and his son Ryan, his greatest gift of all.
Rand is survived by his son, Ryan Brugger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Maryann Brugger and by one sister Holly Brugger.
