Randal "Randy" Allen Cornell, 69 years of Adrian, MI, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday April 6, 2025, under constant care of Anita Akers and Arbor Hospice. Friends may gather for a memorial service on Monday April 14, 2025, at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, from 10AM until the services at 11AM. Pastor Mark McCaskill from Cornerstone Baptist Church, will officiate. Cremation has occurred.
Born January 4, 1956, in Monroe, MI. Randy was the son of Richard and Phyllis (Hyden) Cornell. He married Cynthia "Cindy" Patzer on November 4, 1974, in Monroe, MI. Cindy preceded him in death on July 19, 2014. Randy worked for R & B Machine as a tool and die maker for 21 yrs, retiring in 2005. He loved everything to do with hunting, fishing, cars and drag racing. Randy loved spending time with his family and friends; playing poker, hanging out and reminiscing. He had a great sense of humor, which stayed with him until the end. He will be remembered for his generous and kind personality.
Survivors include: his significant other, Anita Akers; son, Mike (Marie) Cornell; stepchildren, Matthew (Tonya) Lindsay, Jeremy (Maria) Lindsay, Sherri (Brent) Hill, Katherine (Bob) Church; siblings, Mark (Angie) Cornell, Tim (Shelia) Cornell, Jeff (Phyllis) Cornell, Brian (Tammy) Cornell, Kathy (Larry) Willets; sister-in-law, Marcie Cornell; Becky (Kenny) Fraser; grandchildren, Ross, Lola, Graigory (Onna), Kylie, Isabella, Ellie, Alex, and a great-grandchild, Ezra and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy, parents, brothers, Rick and Jason Cornell and a grandson, Gavin Hill.
Memorial contributions can be made to: The Huntington's Disease Society of America or Lenawee Humane Society.
