Randal (Randy) Alan Hamilton, 66, died Monday, October 27, 2025 at The Pinnacle in Oxford, MS following a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Randy was born on October 3, 1959, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Wilber (Jack) and Delores Cornett Hamilton. He grew up in Forest, LA and graduated from Sam Crow Academy in 1978. After high school he enjoyed working at NAPA and later at Forest Motor Supply with his dad. He worked at Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, LA as an EMT and later earned his paramedic license. After leaving LSP, he moved to Baton Rouge, LA where he worked offshore as a paramedic for many years.
Randy was the happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed life, was quite the prankster bringing joy and laughter to everyone around him. In his younger years, Randy's hobbies included hunting and fishing and he later enjoyed golfing and NASCAR. He loved music, and anytime there was a group playing at The Pinnacle he could be found singing along and he knew every word. He loved gospel music and was a singer with The Faithful Followers in his young adult years.
Randy is survived by his daughters, Destiny (Dave) Laski and Brittney Johnson both of Oviedo, FL, brother, Robert (Marsha) Hamilton, Maumelle, AR, sister, Susan (Bill) Rollinson, Oxford, MS, sister, Barbara (Rick) Tuminello, Baton Rouge, LA, and three grandchildren, Nina Laski, Kye and Evie Johnson of Oviedo, FL. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Delores Hamilton.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy or memorial contributions in Randy's memory be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America at hdsa.org.
