Randall Burris, age 72, passed away on December 3, 2024 in Bismarck, Arkansas. He was born on July 26, 1952 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, the son of Lloyd and Elsie Burris. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Virginia Ann Burris, and a brother, Leslie Burris.
He was a graduate of Bismarck High School. He was a banker at Merchant and Planters Bank, and then worked as a lab technician at General Cable. Randall loved hunting, fishing and gardening, but most of all loved to watch his grandchildren play football, basketball and baseball. Randall attended Caney Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane Burris of Bismarck, Arkansas; his daughters Jackie (Robert) Tucker of Glenwood, Arkansas and Angela (Matt) Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brody Tucker, Ian Smith, Trey Smith and Trent Smith; sisters, Sue (Wayne) Newton and Marcile (David) Thomason, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Services are scheduled for Monday, December 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Caney Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. in Ruggles Wilcox Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brian Bost, Mark Bost, Heath Thomason, Michael Burris, Matthew Burris and Chris Garrett. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rodney Burris.
