Randall Dean Clark was unexpectedly called back to his heavenly home on February 8, 2024 in
Orem, Utah at the age of 66. He was born on May 30, 1957 in
Riverside, California. Randy was a gentle giant in both body and spirit; and a warm, kind-hearted man who was deeply devoted to his family. He greatly cherished his role as husband to his wife Carolyn of 42 years. He took great joy in being a father to their three children and daughter-in-law, as well as a grandfather, brother, son, uncle, brother in-law and a friend to so many. Randy tastefully wove positivity and good humor into his interactions with others all throughout his life. He was full of compassion, ever optimistic, and supremely patient and calm in the face of adversity.
Randy had a passion for graphic design, which he eagerly pursued for 36 years. His creativity and talent shined brightly in the diverse range of projects and enterprises he worked on during his career. Prior to his professional endeavors, Randy served a two-year mission in Argentina from 1976 to 1978, an experience that helped to shape his perspective for the rest of his life. While studying at Brigham Young University, he met the love of his life at a disco dance not far from the campus. On December 19, 1981 Randy and Carolyn were married and sealed together for time and all eternity in the Oakland California Temple. After a few more years, Randy graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science in Design Engineering Technology in 1987.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Randy found both solace and strength in his faith. He demonstrated steadfast dedication throughout decades of service in a magnitude of church callings, including several bishoprics and as a Stake Mission President. Randy helped to bless the lives of countless individuals, and was in turn richly blessed by them. He enjoyed discussing gospel related topics with others and sharing his hope in Christ. He strived to live according to the teachings of his Savior throughout his life.
In his free time, Randy found joy doing a variety of things at home with his family. He enjoyed reading, listening to music and playing on his 12-string guitar and electronic keyboard. He had a deep appreciation for good humor and enjoyed discovering a new bit or joke. He was also a big fan of Apple Inc. since their inception, proudly owning and using a wide variety of their technology to do his work. Randy maintained an unquenchable thirst for learning and applying new things in his life. Aside from his hobbies and aspirations, his family remained his primary focus and crowning achievement.
