Randall Marvin Cushman, 68, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on January 22, 2025. Born on March 23, 1956. He is the son of the late Thomas Cushman and Margaret Mathis.
He graduated from Dorman High School, Class of 1973, and was known for his great sense of humor. Randall always loved to make people laugh and brought joy to those around him. He would walk into a room and stir everyone up and then say, "What's the problem?". He enjoyed spending time playing pool, taking naps, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs, filling his life with the things he loved.
Randall was a loving and compassionate person who worked as a stump grinder for many years, dedicating himself to his work. A big heart defined Randall, especially in his love for animals. He was known for taking in stray cats, showing his caring nature and kindness.
Survivors include his wife Donna Cushman; step-father, Steve Mathis of Boiling Springs; son, Randall Cushman Jr. (Renee) of Greer, South Carolina; daughters, Ashley Laubenstein (Ryan) of Lyman, South Carolina, Summer Cushman (Mark Miller) of Greenville, South Carolina; step-daughters, Christy Bright (Vance) of Gaffney, South Carolina, Angie Bishop of Inman, South Carolina; step-son, Robbie Bishop (Tae) of Tennessee; sisters, Tammy Greer (Donny), Heather Millwood (Johnny); nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and numerus nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow, starting at 2:15 PM, and he will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Hwy 9, Boling Spring, SC 29316.
The family is accepting flowers, or memorials may be made to Spartanburg Human Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303, or at spartanburghumane.org
Randall's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
