Randall Dwight Durham, 60, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. He was a native of Mount Airy, North Carolina, but had lived in Newport News for over 40 years and was employed as a pipefitter by Newport News Shipyard.
Randall was a hard worker all his life until his death. He loved his hometown of Mount Airy, football, NASCAR, and his two dogs, Peanut and Little Jack. Randall passed away, at peace, knowing his family’s love for him and grateful for his life experiences. He leaves behind a legacy of love and unforgettable memories.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Durham and Ruth Puckett Durham. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Bambi Durham. They had been sweethearts and together for 32 years. He also leaves behind his sister, Remona Sollenberger (Joe); two brothers, Ronnie Durham (Mary) and Richard Durham (Sheila); multiple nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Yvette Smith; brother-in-law John Smith; and nephews Caleb and Stephen Smith.
There will be no funeral service. Randall’s wish was to float down the river in Mount Airy, N.C.
