In Loving Memory of Randy Martin
Randall (Randy) Eugene Martin left us on February 20 th, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on April 9, 1954, Randy lived a life full of love and dedication to family, friends and his fur
babies.
A Life Well-Lived
Randy was a 1972 graduate of Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. Known for his tender love of animals, Randy could never resist bringing home a stray. Some of his pets were unconventional and interesting (he once brought home an alligator and had also adopted a couple of pet racoons). He had a particular fondness for his 2 collie dogs, Hazel and Callie that were his companions until the end. There's no doubt that his love for the breed was rooted in the memory of his childhood collie dog and best friend, Tinkerbell. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing. He enjoyed spending quiet time in the peaceful sanctuary of his favorite dock at the lake. This was the place where he could cast a line, drink a beer, have a smoke and relax, this was Randy's "happy place".
Randy was a music lover and had a talent for playing guitar. He played in "garage bands" as a teenager and continued to enjoy rock music of the 60's and 70's, the music that served as the soundtrack to his life, reflecting the times of his youth. His favorite band was The Eagles. He also enjoyed western movies and collecting memorabilia. Above all else, Randy cherished his
children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Family and Friends
Randy is survived by his loving daughter, Carrie Ginger, son, Steven Carter, grandchildren, Cassandra Mukai (Keegan Mukai), and Madison Carter, great grandchild, Lilliana Merriman, sisters, Kathy Martin (Craig Rodgers) and Ronni Ward (Ted Ward), brother, Ron Pierce, Jr. (Sandra Andes), and stepsister, Barbara Schneider. He was preceded in death by his father,
Keith Martin and stepmother Leta Martin, mother, Barbara Pierce and stepfather, Ron Pierce, stepbrother, Bill Michelstetter, and his beloved collie dog, Annie. Randy's legacy will continue
to live on through his loved ones.
Celebration of Life
A celebration of Randy's life will be held at a later date.
