This is Joseph Jurgen. He and sevenish karate were an incredible man and helped me deal with things I didn´t even know about by instilling self discipline and integrity. I will be forever grateful for he and his family

I'm just finding out that Randy passed. A little shocked! I do appreciate the privilege of meeting Randy many years ago. As a professional who represented me well as my attorney. And knowing him as a friend and dear brother in Christ. My deepest condolences to Regina and family! See you in heaven brother. RIP, love/care,Jon D. Owens!

My heart aches! I had just sent Randy a Happy Birthday email, this morning, and something told me to do an online search, which is how I came across his obituary. Randy was my Sensei, an inspiration, someone I looked up to with the greatest admiration, a friend. His family was involved at the Dojo and I got to know how special they all were. I am in disbelief, shocked, saddened. I don´t know what happened, how he passed, yet I know it was too soon. My heart goes out to Jeanie, Alyssa, Abby, and all who knew and loved him.

My years working along side of Randy was when we worked the streets together on the east side of Indianapolis. He was a dedicated man with his studies and his family. He was always full of life and respected brother Officers . Each of us going to the same college we stayed in touch, especially through one of his daughters. ;-). Different directions for both of us. His law, mine psychology. He will be sorely missed. I look forward to seeing him again in our next life. I just found out today through my wife.

Randy was eager to mentor others, including my son, who showed an interest in law enforcement as a young man. Randy spent time with him, and the two hit it off. Randy and Regina were welcoming and spent time talking with and listening to my son; they seemed to enjoy the mentor role and served it well. Randy will be missed by many.

All these years later very few leave a lasting impression on our hearts and minds. Randy was one of those. First met him at MCSD and instantly respected him. Forty some odd years later being retired from Law Enforcement and also living in Florida, I can still see him telling us on the first day, we had to shave or mustaches for his training classes. (Didn't seem right considering) Went on to remember so many moments in his career. A fine man and a dedicated public servant.

Dear Regina and family. I was a HUGE fan and friend of your Randy. He and I worked claims together more times than I can count. He was always so devoted and loyal to his clients. He even took the time to send me a letter or two to tell me how much he enjoyed us working together. He will be sorely missed by me. He was one of the greats!!! I am so sorry for your loss and mine. Fondly, June Sanders

What a devastating loss to not just his family but to all of humanity. Randy was laser-focused on making the world a better place to live safely. He was so accomplished and yet, so down to earth. His commitment to public service was evident from the first time I met him. I will forever be grateful for having met Randy and Regina. My heart goes out to the family who will feel this loss most of all.

Sensei meant so much to our young family in Greenwood. Both kids took karate from him, but more importantly learned life lessons are are great people today because of it. RIP Sensi.

Randy was a great person, friend and family man. I am proud to have worked side by side with him as a colleague. Randy was a sincere compassionate advocate and supporter of others in their greatest times of need. He will be sorely missed. May you rest in peace my friend.
