Randall Lee Singleton

Randall Lee "Randy" Singleton was born on September 20, 1963, in Columbia Missouri to the late Don and Martha Singleton. Randy died at home on January 23, 2023, after a brief but difficult battle with cancer. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Sue Grant and John and Helen Singleton.

On January 21, 1985, he wed Sherene Annett (Breeling) Singleton. Randy was survived by his wife, his four children and their families, Randall Spencer Singleton (wife Sarah, son Elijah and daughter Jaslyn), Taylor Grant Singleton (wife Megan), Alexa Lee Singleton (partner Korey Lynn Blaser, daughter Juniper and son Arlo), and Skylor Elizabeth Lange (husband Kyle); four siblings, Susan Arlee Singleton, Brenda Marie Singleton, Stephanie Ann Arroyo, and John Grant Singleton and their families; also surviving are numerous other family members, friends, and associates.

Randy joined the Navy after graduation from high school, having an initial tour of duty in the Mediterranean during the U.S Libyan action. He later joined the Naval Reserves, being called up for deployments in Iraq. While in Iraq he was stationed in two separate sites. There, he was exposed to toxins, including exposure to chemicals from "Burn Pits."

Upon signing on to his service in the Naval Reserve, Randy also rejoined his prior career in the hospitality industry. He lived with his family in Orlando, Lexington, Detroit, and again finally in Lexington; eventually serving as the Director of Rooms (housekeeping, front desk, valet services) for the Hilton Lexington/Downtown. It was from this position which he took medical leave due to his final illness.

He was an amazing father, husband, and friend.

A Celebration of Life for Randy will be held from 1:00 - 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Hilton Lexington Downtown located at 369 West Vine Street, Lexington, KY 40507 in The Celebration Room. A Celebration Service ending at 5:00 PM and an extended gathering period afterwards. Parking passes available at the ceremony to attendees.

The family requests that no flowers or plants be sent to the Celebration but, instead, ask that tax deductible donations be sent, in honor of Randy, to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society to help support veterans and their families. The NMCRS can be contacted by calling toll free 1-800-654-8364 or online by going to https://www.support.nmcrs.org.
