Randall Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Allen Mortuary - Turlock on Jan. 26, 2026.
Randall Eugene Smith

October 22, 1953 ~ January 13, 2026

On Tuesday, January 13th, Randall Eugene Smith passed away peacefully at the age of 72, surrounded by his family.

Randy was born on October 22, 1953, to Donald and Margaret Smith and was raised in Turlock, California. He graduated from Turlock High School in 1972 and chose to build his life, raise his family, and dedicate his career to the community he loved. Randy worked as an electrician and later served for over 20 years in the Maintenance Division at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds.

Randy's life was a testament to hard work, unwavering dedication, and quiet strength. He was a kind man, a devoted father, and someone who always made sure his family was taken care of.

He leaves behind his children: Allison Combs (Tyler), Stephanie Navarro (Andre), Michael Smith (Becky), and his former wife and forever friend, Stacy Smith. He was a proud Papa to his five grandchildren, Joshua, Halle, Micah, Adeline, and Jake, who will miss him dearly.

Randy is also survived by his siblings, Donald Smith (Carol) and Bev Jones (Jerry), mother-in-law Karen Opdyke, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends throughout the community.

Randy was loved by many and will be remembered for his quick wit, humor, and helpful nature. He enjoyed fishing, trips to the coast, camping at Eagle Lake, country western movies, and especially time with his grandkids. His BBQ chicken was a favorite at family dinners. A good man who loved his family, Randy's legacy of love and hard work will live on through all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 20th at the Denair Community Center, 3850 N Gratton Rd, Denair at 11:00AM.
